ARTIST'S  STATEMENT
The world of animals has been a source of humor, wonder and happiness all my life. Raised on an isolated ranch in Northeastern Wyoming state, I saw more animals in my young life than I ever saw humans - they were my source of entertainment and solace. In later years as a self taught artist, I began with landscapes and quickly knew they were empty to me without the antics of wildlife in them. The world of wildlife, takes us to the primitive and away from the hectic world we live in. All the beasts of the world keep us in touch with wonders we can only dream of; a world of serenity or savagery, but always constant - even in a crowded inner city. I enjoy very much bringing the wildlife and wilderness to you in my artwork.  Artist  Millie Carrée

I enjoy commissions very much. Below is a sample of what I can do with a photograph. E-mail me
if you'd like an estimate on a wildlife painting, or have an idea you need expressed in oil.
Below are the before and after of a painting. The before in this case, a photograph by Ken Gemell of Australia, taken while in England, and painted by a USA person - me. I feel in love with this photo of a bridge on the Grand Union canal in England.       Millie

This web site was built and is maintained by myself. However, for some time I've meant to thank people who have helped me with my web site over the past ten years.
Ray Cook who provided me with my first web site program with an exchange of a painting, urging me to start this web site and display my work.
A friend who wishes to remain anonymous, for checking my website for me over the years and helping me with strategies. This friend sent me the background color you see now, and I think it is great!
Ken Gemell in Australia, took an interest in my site and helped me achieve the approval of the International consortium that approves the stringent application of the code to build a web site. He has helped me with numerous problems that spring up on any website and continues to do so.
My husband Gilbert, whose continued patience and encouragement helps immeasurably.
Last but not least, my many friends who visit and send me notes. Thank you one and all!  Millie 6.09
