"Herons Near Dark"

At left is a NEW watercolor painting.
My own design with help from
memories and many photographs.
The painting is professionally framed,
under glass, ready to hang, and enjoy.

Two White herons, turned black
in the dusk, preen and seek the
last rays of sun. In the
shallows of a lake they seem
content. These heron are found
nearly everywhere in the USA;
in colder areas being migratory.
In flight, they are magnificent.

At right is one of many computer drawn images
I've done through the years. Very time extensive,
each "picture" is painstakingly drawn by hand
with the computer mouse. Flinging the lines
around with abandon, occasionally I came up with
something beautiful. Or just silly like the dragon
at the bottom of the page. The coloring is dropped
in with the help of a computer program, and there
you have it! Copies available, if you'd like!  Millie

"Lurking" by Millie Carrée        I've been asked to produce some very "different" kinds of art. But I must say a book cover for a Halloween type - shall we say - book, was the most weird. The base of my idea was a photo of mine of a little toad in our yard. And from there, I went - too far. Enlarge to "enjoy"? "Just Bricks" by Millie Carrée
There is a mural in the conference room of a company I worked for at the time; I've made painted masks for charity; and oh yes, here is >
a pile of bricks I sketched as a "study".
